A legal disclaimer

This Privacy Policy explains how ID Records (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, stores and protects the personal information you provide when you visit or shop on idrecords.net and idrecords.ch (“the Site”). When you create an account, place an order, join our mailing list, contact customer support or browse the Site, we receive data such as your name, postal address, email address, telephone number, payment-related identifiers (never full card numbers), purchase history, IP address, browser and device details, cookie identifiers and preferences. We use this information to confirm and deliver your orders, process payments, provide customer service, send transactional or marketing communications (only with your prior consent where required), personalize your shopping experience, prevent fraud, analyze site performance and comply with Swiss, EU and other applicable laws.

The Site employs essential cookies to remember your basket and secure the checkout, analytics cookies to understand traffic patterns and improve functionality, and—if you accept them—advertising pixels that help us show you relevant offers. You can manage non-essential cookies at any time through our banner or your browser settings. We never sell your personal data, but we may share it with trusted processors who perform services for us: payment providers, fulfilment warehouses, shipping carriers, email platforms and IT-security partners. These processors receive only the data necessary to perform their tasks, act under written instructions and are bound by confidentiality and data-protection clauses. Where such partners are located outside Switzerland or the European Economic Area, we rely on recognised transfer mechanisms such as adequacy decisions, Swiss–U.S./EU–U.S. Data Privacy Framework certification or Standard Contractual Clauses.

We keep invoice-related records for ten years to satisfy Swiss accounting rules and EU VAT regulations; marketing-consent logs until you withdraw consent plus two years; and customer-service correspondence for three years after the matter is closed. Other data is retained only as long as needed for the purposes described above, after which it is securely deleted or anonymised. We protect your information with TLS encryption in transit, encrypted backups at rest, strict access controls, two-factor authentication for administrator accounts and regular security testing. While no online service can guarantee absolute security, we continually assess and upgrade our safeguards.

Under the EU General Data Protection Regulation and Switzerland’s revised Federal Act on Data Protection, you may request access to the data we hold about you, ask us to rectify inaccuracies, delete or restrict processing, receive a portable copy, object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw any consent you previously gave.
